Salem Lutheran Home has been providing ecumenical faith-based services for over 80 years. In 1924, Salem bought it's first cottage, Palm Tree to meet the needs of older adults throughout the Bay Area. Today, our five acre village-like campus is home to almost 200 residents of all faiths and backgrounds.
Salem is proud to be a registered Eden Alternative Community. Based on the core principle that growing older should be a continued stage of development, the Eden Alternative offers our residents opportunities to give meaningful care to other living things.
We are dedicated to the philosophies of our sponsor, The Sierra Pacific Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Salem Lutheran Home is committed to providing high quality compassionate care and a personal approach to services. Our programs include residential retirement living cottages and apartments, assisted living services, dementia special care and skilled nursing.
