Thermal concentrating solar power is affordable, easily scalable, and with thermal energy storage can provide on-demand power-even when the sun does not shine. As an energy producer, our primary metric to maximize is Energy Returned on Energy Invested (ERoEI). This means higher efficiencies, simpler and lighter structures, and more durable materials. The result is not only more energy, but also a lower cost solar field that is more reliable and easier and cheaper to operate.
We are working to reduce our environmental impact by moving to inert heat transfer fluids, and developing ways to double energy collection per area of land and allowing grasses and small shrubs to grow undisturbed below the solar field. With little glare and a low profile, our solar technologies blend into the desert as much as possible.
