Ponikvar & Associates, Inc., established in 1976, is an eleven-person architectural firm, which has established a long term working relationship with multiple private and public organizations.
We pride ourselves on our dedication to search for contextual, creative solutions while maintaining careful attention to scale, proportion and detail. Projects designed by Ponikvar & Associates, Inc. are regularly published in architectural and construction publications.
We are committed to building and maintaining a strong and talented staff. Our goal is for all architectural staff to be given the opportunity to become Project Managers. The office is an extension of the studio and its design promotes design discussions and the sharing of information. All architectural staff is located in a large open studio space.
Ponikvar & Associates, Inc. has been fully computerized in design and drafting since 1990, and has developed systems and standards for producing fully coordinated documents with our consultants. We currently use AutoCad 2010.
Our use of computers extends beyond the production of working drawings. We use 3-D and rendered images as both presentation and design tools. Currently, we are working with Web-based software for presentations. These techniques are very useful in communicating design ideas to clients and consultants.
Additionally, we enhance our ability to communicate and share information, written or graphic, by maintaining an e-mail address for each project manager. We have found that this greatly aids our ability to send and receive the most current information quickly and accurately.
In addition to the normal means of communication, we establish a project specific web site to facilitate information distribution with the Contractor, the User, the Owner's Representative and our Consultants.
We are constantly looking for ways to use current technology to its greatest potential and are dedicated to remaining up-to-date in this important aspect of service delivery.
Our commitment to building and maintaining a strong and talented staff provides us with the resources necessary to meet schedules and to produce clear, concise documents for construction. We demand professional growth of our staff and actively pursue Total Quality Management objectives, individually and firm-wide, to ensure compatible goals and clear communication, thereby providing the best possible service to our clients in the public and private sector.
