Steve Hexom formed the company in 1972 and began constructing dams for ranchers and farmers. With the expansion of the oil and gas industry in Williston Basin during the late 1970s, Hexom Earth Construction began constructing oil locations and lease roads for oil exploration companies.
Since that time, Hexom Earth Construction has remained in the oil exploration market and has seen growth in other areas including highways, dams, landfills, lagoons, mine development, mine reclamation and environmental projects.
