Sirko Associates, Inc. was established in May, 1985 to provide engineering and drafting consultation services in the specialty engineering area of precast concrete engineering and plant support. Since our beginning, representatives from Sirko Associates, Inc. have served the precast concrete industry through the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute and other organizations. Our involvement has included committee service and leadership, publication reviews, and financial and advisory committee support of research projects. The engineering, detailing and project management teams at Sirko Associates, Inc. have experience with a variety of precast/prestressed concrete construction types including: structural, architectural, cast stone, bridges, and underground structures. Other services include forensic analysis, expert witness and repair recommendations. Sirko Associates personnel have helped a number of precast concrete producers start CAD departments by providing turnkey hardware, software and training packages to neophyte users. In 1990, Sirko Associates founded CAD-1, an Autodesk Authorized Reseller and Premier Authorized Training Center to serve the specialized automation needs of architects, engineers and the construction industry. Since its start, CAD-1 has received an unprecedented number of national Autodesk sales, training, facilities and customer support awards. In 1993, Sirko Associates released AutoCAST?/HardCOUNT?. This software was developed as a supplement to the industry standard AutoCAD? software. AutoCAST was developed to help standardize the precast drawing industry with productivity tools and to provide many precast concrete related symbol libraries as a time saver and efficiency improvement tool for the industry. HardCOUNT is an automated material counting software that uses extended data contained within precast concrete drawings to generate lists of materials for production, foundations, and erector use.
