Custom Gardens is an Amarillo-based landscape architecture and construction company. Our team has 40 years of combined experience plus the fundamental education to insure your job is creative and functions with your unique situation. We are currently the only landscape company in the Panhandle area with two licensed landscape architects. We can design almost anything outside, including swimming pools, patios, outdoor kitchens, water features, planting plans, sprinkler systems, low voltage lighting plans, retaining walls, gazebos, and grading plans. Custom Gardens also has a maintenance crew to help maintain both residential and commercial sites. Custom Gardens specializes in all areas of landscape design/build, including new and remodel residential and commercial projects. The team includes Brooke Furrh, Jeff Jenkins, Craig Urbanczyk, and Jessica Needham, all of whom graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture.Brooke Furrh, a Pampa native, is owner of Custom Gardens. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1993 and then moved to Dallas to start his career. While in Dallas, he worked for a fast growing company and trained under several designers with unique styles and talents. In 2000, he moved to Amarillo to start Custom Gardens. He became a licensed irrigator in 2002 and recently became a licensed landscape architect in 2009. Along with managing the company, Brooke also supervises all the installation and maintenance crews.Jeff Jenkins, raised in Amarillo, is the head of the design team. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1988 and then went to Texas A&M to earn his Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture. After graduation he moved back to Amarillo where he worked for a landscape company, City of Amarillo, and Boys Ranch before joining Custom Gardens. He became a licensed Landscape Architect in 2001.Craig Urbanczyk, raised in White Deer, is the commercial designer for the design team. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2005. While in Lubbock he worked for a landscape company, honing his skills in designing. He also installed swimming pools, waterfalls, sprinkler systems, and builds arbors. He became a licensed irrigator in 2006 and a licensed Landscape Architect in 2007. Jessica Needham, an Amarillo native, is the residential designer for the design team. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 2005 and then moved to Phoenix, Arizona to start her career. In Phoenix, she worked for a landscape architectural firm where she learned the art of xeriscaping. In the Spring of 2008, she moved back to Amarillo. Our installation crews are led by people who worked with Brooke in Dallas. They have over 45 years of combined experience and training with installing plants and trees, building retaining walls, water features and installing sprinkler systems.
